This tour begins from Samdrupdzongkhar in South-Eastern Bhutan and exits from Paro in Western Bhutan. It takes you through bird watch and few major towns like Punakha, Thimphu and Paro and end with famous hike to Takshang or Tiger’s Nest.

Well, Bhutan is a paradise for bird lovers and ornithologists. Over 670 species of birds have been recorded and many more are yet to be discovered. Around 50 species of the known birds are winter migrants. In fact, it is the home to many species of birds that are in danger of extinction such as the Imperial Heron, which is one of the fifty rarest birds in the world. Also the rare Black-Necked Crane, which breeds in Tibet and then migrates over the Himalayas to Bhutan during the winter months. The Cranes can be spotted in Phobjikha Valley in Western Bhutan. They migrate to these winter roosting sites in the months of September and October and fly back to Tibet between February and March.

Our team provides an experienced and professional local bird-watching guide. Our guides have the hands-on knowledge that allows them to locate some of the best places that house rare species, including the Wren Babblers, Laughing Thrushes, and other species in Bhutan. In addition to excellent birding knowledge, our guides also have a strong understanding of local cultures and traditions, as well as a good command of the English language at your service.
